DECEMBER 17TH -

Dear OSA Pella League participants:

As we head into the final weekend of the 2020 Fall Pella Youth Basketball League, I wanted to thank all of you for your unparalleled cooperation with the numerous adjustments and changes that we made during the season to ensure we were following government guidelines and most importantly doing our best to keep all participants safe.??

For starters, with the slight loosening of restrictions, we have received a few emails regarding the spectator limit and if we were going to adjust, which is certainly a fair question. For this last weekend, we are going to keep the same COVID protocols and procedures in place that?we have followed the past month. Please note though, this is something we will certainly revisit for the Pella Youth Basketball League Winter session which begins the weekend of January 9-10 as we are going to spend time over the break looking at different seating configurations. The bottom line is that it is imperative we keep six feet of social distancing between household units, and at this point, the most effective way to do this is to limit the number of people we let through our doors. Believe me, this is not something that we want, but at this point is essential to spread people out.?

****SPECIAL NOTE REGARDING 3RD - 8TH GRADE PELLA PLAYOFFS - Bracket schedules are currently being adjusted due to a few scheduling errors, conflicts with other tournaments, and teams needing to drop from multiple divisions. We will do our best to not change make major changes, and ALL PARTICIPANTS MUST CHECK SCHEDULES AGAIN ON THURSDAY AFTER 12PM FOR ALL ADJUSTMENTS MADE!

PELLA PLAYOFFS....
The brackets for the End of Season Pella Playoffs for 3rd - 8th grade divisions have been set! Teams will be seeded and advanced to bracket play on Monday, after all regular season games have been completed. Teams will be seeded based on the following criterion:
-RECORD
-HEAD TO HEAD (only if the teams that are tied have all played each other the same amount of times)
-POINT DIFFERENTIAL (15 points max per game)
-POINTS ALLOWED
-POINTS SCORED

Please note that due to Covid-19 and teams having to quarantine, there are some teams that did not get all 7 regular season games in. We will not be penalizing these teams, and the seeding will be based on number of games played. There are also some exhibition games that have been played this season and a few set for Dec. 12th. These games are marked with an asterisk (*) and will NOT count toward division seeding.

Regarding the bracket schedules, these are visible in the DIVISION view only at this time. You will not see the brackets within your team schedule alone. Once teams have been advanced to bracket play, your first game will appear on your team schedule, and then as teams advance, the next game will appear in your team schedule, etc.
