Pool Games will be according to USA Softball of Texas PIXIE Rules.

Managers’ Meeting: Friday, June 2, 2023, at 11:00 a.m. at Host Hotel, the MCM Elegante`

Umpires’ Meeting: Friday, June 2, 2023, following the Managers’ meeting at the MCM Elegante`

Rosters/Entry Form/ Official roster form must be signed by all parties. Your District Commissioner
and ID/Insurance must sign your roster. The entry form included in this packet must be included
with your roster. A copy of birth certificates or proof of age, copy of Player ID cards OR copy of insurance cards must be sent with your roster.

Rules: Per 2023 USA Code and USA Softball of Texas Pixie Rules

Uniforms: Per 2023 USA Code.

Game Time: Scheduled game time is forfeit time.

Time Limit: POOL GAMES-55 Minutes; finish the batter.
BRACKET GAMES-55 Minutes or 7 Innings whichever occurs first.

Run Rule: Per 2023 USA Code

Tie Breaker: International tiebreaker will be used as per 2023 USA Code.

GENERAL INFORMATION SHEET

ACE Certification & Background Checks: At least one coach MUST be ACE certified.
All other Coaches & Team Moms that are on the field or in the dugouts MUST display proof of
Background Checks & SafeSports by wearing their Cards or Certificate.
NOTE: The 6&U Pixie State Tournament will be governed by the same rules as the 10&U Division with
Exceptions to the following rules.
1. There will be two (2) Pool Games and then a Double Elimination Tournament with all play governed by the 2023 USA Softball of Texas PIXIE Official Rules.

2. All teams must be prepared to play by 5:00 p.m. on Friday, June 2, 2023.

3. Posted game time is forfeit time.

4. Both Pool Games will be 55 Minutes, finish the batter.

All Bracket Games, except the Championship and “IF” Games, will be 55 Minutes or 7 Innings, whichever occurs first. No new Inning will begin after 55 minutes. At the end of time or innings if a game is tied, the ITB will be used until a winner is determined.

The Championship and “IF” Games will be seven (7) innings, unless Run Rule applies.

5. USA Softball of Texas - District 39 will furnish the game balls.

6. Protests must be according to USA Softball Rules for 2023. The protest committee will render a ruling before play resumes.

7. No infield practice will be allowed at any time on the game fields.

8. Home team will be decided by flip of coin.

9. Team at the top of the bracket will take the 3rd base dugout; the team at the bottom of each bracket will take the first base dugout, exception: back-to-back games.

10. A suspended game will be resumed from the point of suspension.

11. Identification: All players proof of age. Printed Insurance Card is acceptable.

12. Alcohol is not permitted anywhere in the complex.

13. Full concessions will be available at all fields. Ice will be furnished for each player to fill her own drink container. A team may bring in an ice chest containing ice and water for towels to be able to cool down players and coaches and a 2nd cooler with drinks for players and coaches only.

14. T-shirt vendor will be printing on-site. He will have Tournament T-shirts as well as other apparel.

15. The tournament director reserves the right to switch teams to a different field for the purpose of saving time if behind in the schedule or for any other circumstances that might arise.

10 points for win
3 points for a tie
2 points for a shutout
1 point for each run you score (max8 runs count per game)

Tie-in Points:
Head-to-head if the teams that are tied played each other.
Least runs allowed.
