Tournament Rules
Tournament format: 3 pool games seeding into a box bracket and final seeding game (6GG). The Director reserves the right to change the tournament format and/or tournament rules.
USSSA Select Elite rules will be followed with the following exceptions
1. Free defensive substitution for all games.
2. Teams may bat up to 11 batters for all games. Must maintain integrity of the line-up. Since it is free defensive substitution, there is no need for a flex/DP.
3. Dugout assignments: Team listed first (pool games) or top of the bracket, occupy 3rd base dugout unless team already occupies from previous game.
4. Line-up cards: Coaches should exchange line-up cards at the pre-game conference and provide all offensive substitutions and pitcher/catcher defensive substitutions to the home plate umpire. designated scorekeeper.
5. Courtesy runners for pitchers & catchers can be someone not in the batting order or last batted out if all players are in the Line-up. Courtesy runners can only run once/inning. Pinch runners for a position player will be a normal substitution.
6. Pitching: Pitcher is allowed to step back with one foot in contact with the rubber. Drive (pivot) foot does not have to stay in contact with the field, but pitcher cannot re-plant the pivot foot to gain a competitive edge.
7. Time limit: No new inning will begin after 1 hour and 40 minutes from the completion of the pre-game conference. Tournament Director may change time limit if needed. Game time will be kept by the umpires on the field.
8. Run Rule: 12 runs after 3 innings, 10 runs after 4 innings and 8 runs after 5 innings for pool & bracket play
9. Home team: Home team is determined by a flip of coin at pre-game conference meeting.
10. Pool games/Bracket games: Teams will receive 2 points for a win and 1 point for a tie in Pool play. Games can end in a tie after 7 innings or time limit for Pool games. Bracket games must have a winner.
11. International Tie breaker: ITB for bracket games and Championship game after time limit or 7 innings, start with the last 2 batted outs on 2B and 3B.
12. Pool Game Tie breakers: 1) Record, 2) Head-to-head, 3) Runs allowed, 4) Runs scored, 5) Run differential, 6) coin toss.
13. Protest: These games are NON-protest games. Umpire decisions on the field are final.
14. Fences: Fences will be 225 ft.
15. Scores: Please confirm final score with Homeplate umpire before you leave the field.

17. Insurance: All teams should provide proof of Insurance at check-in with me or by email
18. Rosters: Open rosters, you do not need to turn a roster a in. Players can only play on one team
