Tournament Note
TOURNAMENT RULES1. All games will be governed by NFHS/PGF rules. For Pool Play, teams have the option to bat all players. For bracket games, straight NFHS/PGF rules will apply.2. A coin flip at home plate will determine the home team. The home team will be the official scorekeeper. All line up changes must go through the plate umpire. Both teams should check the umpires score card after the game. Time will start right after the coin flip.3. Dugouts – For pool play, first come first serve. For bracket play, the top of the bracket to occupy the third base dugout unless a team from the prior game is in the dugout. 4. TIME LIMIT – All pool play games will be 1 hour and 20 minutes, no new inning. All single elimination games will be 1 hour and 40 minutes, no new inning. Championship games will have no time limit. 5. RUN RULE – All games will have the following run rule: 10 after 4, 8 runs after 5 innings and 6 runs after 6 innings. 6. TIEBREAKER – Tie-breaker will begin at the top of the 8th inning or time limit.7. If ejected a coach must sit out the next game.8. Protest to be handled on the field by the UIC of that site, a tournament official and the Umpire who made the call. There will be a $100 protest fee to be returned if the protest is upheld.9. No infield practice between games. ABSOLUTELY no activity in the infield area when ground crews are prepping the fields.10. Teams are required to submit a complete team roster. Roster must be submitted to the Tournament Director before Thursday, March 28th. No players may be added to the roster once tournament play has begun. 11. Team Managers will be responsible for all persons including players and coaches as well as spectators associated with their team.TOURNAMENT INFORMATION1. Games will be played at the following locations:- Salinas Sports Complex (Tournament Headquarters) – 1160 N. Main Street, Salinas, CA 939063. No outside foods/beverages except one team ice chest with sport drinks and water is permitted at the Salinas Sports Complex. No alcohol, scooters, rollerblades, bikes, skateboards or dogs are allowed in the facilities. The Softball Facility has a full snack bar.4. DAILY GATE FEE: All players and 4 coaches will be allowed in for FREE! Gate fees are $9.00 adult (18-64), $6.00 senior (65 & up), $4.00 Child (6-17), and Free (5 & under). 5. GAME BALL – The game ball will be the Diamond Fastpitch Flyer NFHS stamp.6. WEATHER – Average temperature in April in Salinas is mid-60s as a HIGH and low 50s as a LOW.7. Team Managers will be responsible for all persons including players and coaches as well as spectators associated with their team. NOTE: Unsportsmanlike conduct will not be tolerated!! 8. NO overnight RV Parking allowing in the parking lots.9.
