JULY 6TH:
Dear OSA 3v3 Coaches - I hope everyone had a great holiday off with your families and friends! We have two more weeks of regular season games (July 8th and 15th), and our End of Season Tournament Brackets scheduled for July 22nd are NOW POSTED within your DIVISION (not within your team page). This is a minimum 2 game guarantee, with some teams getting up to 4 games. Unless there is an error on my part, I will not be making any scheduling changes, and ask that you do whatever you can to make the schedule work. FOR THOSE OF YOU WITH EVENING GAMES WHO ARE ON TEAMS PARTICIPATING IN TOURNAMENTS JULY 22ND, PLEASE BE SURE TO LET YOUR TOURNAMENT TEAM COACH KNOW TO REQUEST NO FRIDAY NIGHT GAMES, AS WE CANNOT MOVE THESE BRACKETS.
IF YOU KNOW NOW THAT YOUR TEAM WILL NOT BE PARTICIPATING IN THE TOURNAMENT ON JULY 22ND... PLEASE EMAIL ME YOUR DIVISION AND TEAM NAME AND I WILL REMOVE THE GAME FROM THE BRACKET FORMAT AND ADJUST ACCORDINGLY.
-REMEMBER....For all tournament games on July 22nd, You may only use subs that have played on your roster for AT LEAST ONE regular season game. Any BRAND NEW PLAYERS ADDED FOR TOURNAMENT PLAY ONLY will result in DISQUALIFICATION of your team for the tournament.
-ALL TEAMS WILL BE ADVANCED TO BRACKET PLAY FOLLOWING THE COMPLETION OF REGULAR SEASON POOL GAMES on Monday July 18th.
SEEDING OF BRACKETS: Teams will be seeded and advanced into bracket play based on the following criteria:
-Record - This favours the team with the greatest number of Wins, or the least number of Losses)
-Head to Head - This breaks ties based on the Record tie breaker against the tied teams. For example, 3 teams have the same overall record at 4-2 and all 3 of the teams played each other an equal number of times. If one team's record against the other two was 2-0 and another team's was 1-1 and the last was 0-2, this tie breaker would rank them accordingly. If all three teams had identical 1-1 records, this tie breaker would not be used.m *****It should be noted that this tie breaker is completely ignored if all of the teams tied do not play each other an equal number of times. For example if there are 3 teams tied and one team played the other two, but the other two did not play each other, this tie breaker will be ignored (regardless of the outcome of the two games played by the first team).
-Point Differential (15 point max)- The differential tie breaker determines the total difference between a team's score versus their opponents'. The largest differential wins the tie breaker.
-Points Allowed - The total of a team's opponent's score. The smallest total wins the tie breaker.
-Points Scored -
BRACKET FORMATS: Most pools at each grade level have been broken down into Gold Brackets and Silver Brackets First place winners in the ALL brackets of your pool will receive gold medals.
I will send out a reminder email once teams are advanced to bracket play on July 18th. Until then....
GOOD LUCK TO ALL TEAMS THIS FRIDAY!

JUNE 1:
Dear 3v3 Parents and Coaches :
Thank you for your patience while I worked on the schedule! We have over 260 teams in this year's 3v3 Summer League, which plays on Friday from June 10 - July 22 (no games July 1).
Schedules are posted online at https://tourneymachine.com/R105205
PLEASE NOTE THE FOLLOWING:
GAME FORMAT: Each team will have anywhere from two to five games on Fridays, with a total of 14 regular season games. The End of Season Tournament will be played on July 22nd, is a two game guarantee, and brackets will be posted after the first few weeks of the league.
DIVISION CHANGES: Included in the online registration process was the instruction to register for the SPRING 2022 grade level for your team. Some of you registered for the grade level for the upcoming fall school season. WE CANNOT CHANGE YOUR DIVISION, but rest assured that you are likely not the only team playing up.
GAME CHANGES: We will not be making game changes unless I made an error, which would only be if I inadvertently scheduled your team for just one game on a particular date. I will make those adjustments. I will not be moving games to accommodate player schedules, coach schedules, etc. Please understand that if you play in the morning, your opponents do as well. We try to get all teams in and out each week within a 3 - 5 hour period, depending on number of games, and to move you from morning to afternoon or vice versa will put your opponents in the situation where they are here from morning until afternoon, and that is just not fair to them.
SUBSTITUTES: If you are not able to field a team for a particular game/week, coaches MUST FIND SUBS. If you are not able to find subs, we will score the game as a forfeit (2-0) and do our best to get exhibition games for your opponents. I do ask that if you know you are forfeiting, that you give us plenty of time to find exhibition teams and notify me by email at rachel.blum@omahasportsacademy.com. SUBS ARE ALLOWED at all times, do not need to be added to your online rosters, CAN be players from another team in the same division or from a younger grade, and can also be brand new players. Subs may NOT in any circumstance play down a grade level, and brand new players are NOT allowed to play in the End of Season Tournament on July 22 (must have played in at least one game over the season). This is to deter teams from bringing in new players for the tournament only. (The tournament will be played on July 22, will be a 2 game guarantee, and I will post those brackets after the first few weeks of the league).
COACHES/ SUPERVISION: All teams 7th grade and under MUST have a parent/coach on their bench at all times to supervise team members and to ensure that all players get equal play time. 8th Grade teams and older do not have to have a coach/parent on their bench, unless this becomes a problem, in which case we will notify the team contact listed at the time of registration.
ROSTERS: A link will be sent for teams to upload their rosters online. Please do so by Thursday at noon.
JERSEYS: Teams must provide their own team jerseys or t-shirts. They do not need to be numbered, and they do not need to be reversible, buy they do need to match somewhat so the officials can easily identify team members.
RULES - A copy of our 3v3 League rules can be found within your online schedule in the DOCUMENTS section. For your convenience, I have pasted the link below. ALL PARTICIPANTS, INCLUDING SPECTATORS must review the rules. Please pay close attention to the Fan, Coach, and Player Decorum Section. We expect all participants to show respect to all others at all times while playing in our leagues and tournaments.

Please remember that the goal of this league is to give our players as much game time experience as possible, with multiple opportunities to handle and shoot the ball in a FUN, ATHLETIC environment. If these guidelines are not ones that work for your team, please email me directly, and I will replace your team with one on the wait list. While we will not be refunding any teams, we WILL keep an account credit on file for future OSA programming.
ADMISSIONS: There are no admissions fees! Please come spend the day with us! We will have concessions specials running each week for the kiddos, as we know they will be here for a good chunk of time each week. Please respect OSA and The Mark's NO OUTSIDE FOOD POLICY, and do not bring food or drink (except water bottles) into any OSA Facility.
I will be making necessary adjustments to the schedule over the next few days. ALL PARTICIPANTS MUST CHECK SCHEDULES AGAIN ON WEDNESDAY AFTER 12PM FOR ALL ADJUSTMENTS MADE.
Please note I will be out of the office on Monday for my son's college orientation and will not be checking my emails. Should you see an error in your game schedule, please email me only once, and I will look into it on Tuesday.
Thank you all! We look forward to a great summer season!
