The 16th Annual Storm Summer Classic is one of the largest tournaments in the state of Michigan near the beautiful shores of Lake Michigan. This tournament will offer age specific divisions for: 9u/10u/11u/12u/14u/16u/18u/Women's. Over 200 college coaches are annually invited to watch 16u/18u teams competing against other top teams from around the state of Michigan and the Great Lakes States.

All fields are Fastpitch softball fields with temporary or permanent fences for all age groups. Game format is 3 pool play games and then seeded into a single elimination bracket (9/10u/11u//12u/14u/Women's). For 16u/18u divisions, a blind draw will be done for the first bracket game to allow College Coaches more confirmed game times for teams. All teams are guaranteed 4 games (weather permitting). This is a NON-SANCTIONED tournament. 2 certified and qualified umpires for each game and game balls are provided but teams are expected to retrieve foul balls and return to the umpires. We also hand out bomb squad t-shirts for the first over the fence homerun for the weekend (while shirts last).

Rosters are only required for the college coaches booklets for 16u/18u teams only. No rosters are needed for 9u/10u/11u/12u/14u/Women's. Otherwise, this is an open roster tournament besides for the rule that athletes can only play on one team for this tournament.

14u - $775.00
16u - $825.00
18u - $825.00
Women's - $625.00

Games will start at 10 am on Friday and as early as 8:00 am on Saturday and Sunday.

*There are no gate or parking fees for this tournament.
*Presale tournament t-shirts will be offered in June of 2024
*This tournament is NOT a stay and play tournament. However, we do have Champ Sports Travel (Rick Moses) that is working with all area hotels to receive the best hotel rates for our tournament participants if booked through him. *On Thursday, July 25, 2024, Michigan Storm Softball has partnered with various colleges and university softball coaches to host a Storm Exposure Camp. This camp will take place at Whistlestop in Byron Center. Cost is $175 for all day instruction and game play while being coached by DI, D2, D3 or NAIA college coach as we have representation from all levels. In past years, we have had Notre Dame, WMU, CMU, FSU, Northwood University, GVSU, Tiffin University, Aquinas College, Cleary College, Webber International, Kalamazoo College, and Hope College in attendance working the camp.
