Tournament Note

Coaches - we are excited to you in Hays this Saturday.

A few things.

1. This is a NO-ZONE tournament. No zone at any point. First offense is a warning. Second is two points for the opponent. We will be reminding our officials of this. We will also have members of our committee in the gyms.
2. Yes, you can press and trap. But it must be from man-to-man defense.
3. All other rules remain the same as other MAYB tournaments.
4. There will be two bands for coaches to get in free at the location you play first. This band must be worn by the coach or whoever you deem gets in free. Not on a bag…on your wrist. If you show up later with no band on you will pay to get in.
5. If you coach multiple teams you will be receiving an envelope with two bands for each team.
6. This will be a long day as we have 44 teams and five courts. Please be patient with officials. Also quickly move out of the way for the next teams to warm up.
7. Remind your fans of this as well so the next teams’ fans can get seated.
8. This tournament is used to raise money for Hays High School and Hays Middle School basketball programs. As a result we have players available to work the table for nearly every game. Remember these are high school kids.
9. Concessions will be available at each location.
