Tournament Note

COACHES....WELCOME TO THE GREATEST SUMMER TOURNAMENT IN THE AREA! We are glad your teams have chosen to compete in the OSA Crusaders River Cities Hoops Summer Tip Off July 1-3, and we look forward to what we know will be an excellent weekend of competition! We have just under 200 teams participating, with multiple teams in Platinum, Gold, and Silver level pools. This tournament will provide an excellent opportunity for your athletes to really challenge themselves and for you to further develop your summer team(s)! Many teams will be travelling a distance to come to Omaha, providing our local teams with some fresh competition. If you are one of those teams, we THANK YOU in advance for making the trip. We won't let you down!

Below is information that will be helpful for your coaches and families. Please be sure to pass it along!

SCHEDULES ARE FINAL AND POSTED ONLINE AT
https://tourneymachine.com/R103991

This weekend is a four-game guarantee, with some teams getting five or possibly six games. Most pools include bracket play . PLEASE NOTE that bracket games will not be seen within your team schedule until teams are advanced from pool play. Bracket games CAN BE FOUND within your DIVISION SCHEDULES.

Pool placement is based on your team ranking at time of registration, and all teams are set to compete against other teams with similar, if not the same, team ranking. I was able to accommodate most schedule requests that I received prior to scheduling. Those of you with multiple teams who let me know in advance should not have too many conflicts with round robin games. If there are conflicts with bracket play, you will need to have your assistant coach or a parent help out. With so many brackets, it is impossible to accommodate everyone, and I will not be making any changes unless there is an error on my part or if a team drops and I am unable to find a replacement. Please do not ask for games to be rescheduled for convenience or due to a few players unable to attend. We will need all coaches and players to do what is needed to make the schedule work. That said, ALL PARTICIPANTS MUST CHECK SCHEDULES AGAIN TUESDAY AFTER 10PM FOR ANY POTENTIAL ADJUSTMENTS MADE.

VENUES: All games will be held at the Union Bank & Sports Complex and the Mark in Elkhorn, NE and the Iowa West Field House in Council Bluffs, Iowa. 14U - 17U will compete primarily at IWFH, with the younger teams playing at the Elkhorn venues. Venue addresses can be found within the PLACES tab in your online schedule. Please remember....NO OUTSIDE FOOD OR DRINK is allowed to be brought into any OSA Facilities. Concessions will be open during all game times, and we've got some great choices at all facilities. ALSO...please remember that ONLY COACHES should bring balls into our facilities. This helps to prevent players from leaving / losing their basketballs!

UBT SPORTS COMPLEX PARKING: When the UBT Sports Complex parking lot is full, participants may park in DESIGNATED lots around UBT.

DECORUM: Just a reminder that we have a ZERO TOLERANCE policy for fans, coaches, and players who cross the line regarding referees, opponents, and staff. Our decorum policies are listed in our rules and will be followed without exception. We are all here for the athletes, and disruptive, inappropriate behavior on anyone's part will simply not be tolerated.

Spectator Decorum:
Fans who cross the line and verbally abuse or berate the officials will be removed from OSA and OSA Facilities. If a spectator is removed from an OSA facility, they will not be allowed to return to the facility FOR THE REMAINDER OF THE TOURNAMENT. Repeat offenders will be banned permanently from OSA. Like players and coaches, officials will from time to time miss calls, and as a spectator, you do not have the right to admonish or berate officials. If you do not address the referees, you will have nothing to worry about.

Player Ejections: Any player ejected from a game will need to leave the facility for the remainder of the game AND THE FOLLOWING GAME.

Coaches Decorum:
Only the head coach is allowed to address the official. The assistant coach may not address the officials. If a coach or assistant coach receives a technical foul, the seat belt rule will apply and both coaches will need to sit for the remainder of the game. If a coach receives two technical fouls, they will be ejected and must leave the facility immediately. Ejected coaches will not be allowed to coach the team's next game, and they will not be allowed to return to ANY OSA FACILITY until the FOLLOWING DAY. If an ejected coach has more than one team, they will not be allowed to enter ANY OSA FACILITY or coach ANY TEAM until the FOLLOWING DAY.
